Upon my trawl through the endless abyss of the internet , I found the below video, my internet bullcrap-o-meter didn’t go off. Logically I proceeded to open the video… What more can I say?  This isn’t the first time I’ve been impressed with OkGo. If you liked this video be sure to watch some of their others. ( Their music isn’t too bad either. )

Top 10 Lord of the Rings Characters

Posted: September 20, 2010 by MasterShake in Media, Top 10's

This weeks list is about one of the greatest series of all time in both books and movies, The Lord of the Rings. I have chosen my 10 favourite characters in the series, keep in mind this is entirely based on the movies series as I wanted to spare a lot of the detail.

Number 10: Boromir

Boromir son of Denethor II was honourable, noble and passionately believed in the greatness of his kingdom and would have defended it to the last man. Part of the fellowship he swore to defend the ring bearer and destroy the One Ring. Unfortunately being a man he started to become corrupted by the One Ring and tried to take it. He was killed by General Lurtz as he fought defending the fellowship as he swore. He died honourably after delivering a heartfelt speech to Aragorn in which he “bowed down” to his King.

Best Quote: [ To Aragorn ] “I would have followed you my brother, my captain…….My king.”

Top 10 Fictional Aliens

Posted: September 6, 2010 by MasterShake in Media, Top 10's

This weeks Top 10 will be Top 10 Fictional Alien Races , but not just any aliens, the best aliens. Whether there are good or bad towards the human race these aliens are the best because of their powers, abilities etc. So sit back and reminisce about the movies, games and books you’ve seen these aliens in.

Number 10: Babel Fish (The Hitcherhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy)

The Babel Fish is a small leech like creature. Sounds like nothing but this fish has the ability to translate any language into the hearers language. The user inserts the fish into his/her ear and it translates by eating sound waves and excreting sounds that matches the users language. What makes this alien great is its ability to break the language barrier and bring different races together.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is the greatest cartoon ever.

Posted: August 8, 2010 by MasterShake in Media

Whether you knew it as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Teenage Mutant Hero Turtle the fact remains the same. It was the greatest cartoon ever. How could a child not enjoy it. The jokes were extremely funny, the action scenes were awesome and the characters were brilliant and they all had there own unique personalities. The creative thinking employed in this cartoon was nothing short of stellar. Four turtles in the sewers of New York city are mutated by a mysterious ooze. A man also mutated by the ooze trains the turtles how to become ninjas and they fight rhinos, wart-hogs, foot soldiers, a alien from Dimension X and one of the greatest villans ever Shredder. Just the name is awesome. Just say it, “SHREDDER”. But for some reason these turtles and Michaelangelo in particular loved pizzas, yes there was some shameless plugs for Pizza Hut, but screw that. Imagine your a kid in the 1980’s. You see four turtles kick the shit out of bad guys and then go home and eat pizza and party. How could you not enjoy it. Who ever created this cartoon is a genius simple as that. No exaggeration, he’s a genius.
Everyone knows ninjas are badass, everyone knows that turtles are badass, so ninja turtles are mind blowing (simple logic states this).

If anyone thinks that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is bad, listen to this.
Look at your face in a mirror, your jaw is dropped, your speechless. Thats how awesome this show was and it will live on forever in the memory of man kind because all the stuff it spawned, games (Turtles in Time, best game ever) clothes, movies, books, action figures, bedsheets. Aww bedsheets man. If you have Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle bedsheets you were the shit.
Lets look at todays cartoons shall we. Dora the Explorer, Sponge Bob Square Pants and countless other pieces of shit. Those cartoons melt you mind and Sponge Bob? Isn’t he gay. The 1980’s was the golden age of cartoons and lets hope that writers and cartoons rise to their state of former glory.
